Volcano jet creates a solid, foamy, and bulky water mound at lower heights which becomes scattered but still massive, highly aerated, and visible at greater spray heights. These kinds of nozzles are placed underwater and the water effect depends on surface ripples in addition to how deep the nozzle is installed.
The theory behind Volcano is taking in the air by the snorkel(s), mixing it with water flowing inside the nozzle, pressurizing and directing the mixture upwards which is then enriched by the water above the nozzle, resulting in the unique "bubbler effect" – a wider cascade effect
